The AtlantaMINIS is happy to host the 2005 Dragon Farewell Dinner on Saturday,
May 7 starting at 6:00pm at the beautiful Tapoco Lodge located at the tip of the Dragon's Tail. We have worked very hard to make this years dinner even better than
the Welcome Dinner we hosted last year, and there will be lots going on during the entire evening.
6:00pm: Dinner Service begins
6:20pm: Slot Car Tournament begins in Tapoco Lobby
7:00pm: Phil Wicks, the stunt driver in the original Italian Job, is scheduled to do a presentation
on his Ultimate MINI Driving Academy and he plans to give away a certificate good at any of his schools which are held all over the country. There will
be a Q & A session after the presentation.
8:00pm: Dinner Service ends
8:15pm: Slot Car winners announced by Scott Grandfield
Parking is an issue about which many have expressed concerns, as
the number of MINIS attending this year seems to be double that of last year. We do ask that if you can carpool to Tapoco
from Fontana, please do so. Also, we ask that you DO NOT park on Hwy 129- we will have parking directors immediately
inside the Tapoco drive to maximize our space. If everyone follows what they ask you to do, we should be fine.
We will have prizes to give away throughout the evening that have been generously
donated by many popular MINI vendors including CooperFlags, Global Imports MINI of Atlanta, Hank Aaron MINI of Atlanta, Mini Mania, Threshhold Motorsports, and many others. This is definitely an event you don't want to miss!
